HI,
The radio dosen't speak the DCTCSS or CTCSS, but you put in the DCTCSS or 
the CTCSS by entering it on the keyboard numbers.  Such if it is a CTCSS of 
110.9, you activate menu 13, press Menu again and then 1109 on on the keypad 
and then push Menu again.  If you did it right the radio speaks confirm? 
Then push Exit.  73.  Gary KB2YAA
