Here's something to ponder: If your computer is set to update
automatically and/or to run Windows defender; if FireFox automatically
updates or if some video needs a lot of bandwidth to load will Jaws
speak to you while any or all of these things occur? NVDA sometimes
does but usually it becomes silent and sluggish while things are
happening in updates or defender. NVDA does have rising tones when
videos or software are downloading.
Lately I have noticed that FireFox allows NVDA to announce when it is
updating. Could it be that Jaws is unable to speak while many of the
aforementioned processes are happening?
What happens if you wait awhile?
