Thanks, Ana. I have had this issue as well at times. Pressing Enter does not seem to guarantee that the volume setting will be saved. The best luck I have had is pressing the Escape key. But I'm definitely going to try going to the desktop.

Subject: Re: [VICUG-L] Lowering the Volume in Jaws?

When I want to adjust the volume level:

* I go into the system tray with Windows+b or ins+F11.

* I down-arrow to the volume slider.

* I press the space bar to activate the slider.

* I arrow up or down to the level I want.

* I just press windows+m to exit and go to the desktop. Sometimes I press space before doing that. In either case, the volume level stays put.
