Hi Jim,
When in memory mode pushing in the VFO button does nothing. When
in VFO mode
pushing the VFO button allows you to move up or down in 1 mhz
steps.

Speaking of the 71A, it's been a long time since I have
programmed frequencies into mine. What is the purpose of
pushing
in on the VFO, lefthand button on the front panel? When you push
it once you get a high beep, push it again and you get a low
beep, but no speech indication of what that means. Jim WA6EKS

 It's analog.--Matt, N1IBB.

 Hi all,

I have one more question about the Kenwood Tmv71A.

Is this radio a digital radio or analog radio.

I don't think I ever ask the dealer this.

I got over a year ago.

 Thanks so much for this.
