Howard, thank you so much for taking the initiative to look this up and
share it with me. I am very tempted to send a copy of my initial inquiry
email to MFJ along with the errant response I received back from them along
with the text from the MFJ 297's manual directly to Martin Jew. I think he
should be aware of the incompetence of at least this one employee.

Ron,

I think the mike your thinking about is the MFJ-297 desk mike.  It has up
and down buttons as well as four buttons that you can program in the rig's
menu system.  I currently have three of these mikes on different rigs.
