Ron,

As was suggested, there is a Kenwood hand mic available.  I think the 
MFJ-299 may be the one you were thinking of in the desk mic catagory. 
  I think it has a lot of bells and whistles that may or may not suit you.

There are also some versions of the MFJ with other brand names on them. 
  "Inradio" is one, and probably some others.   Maybe they all come out 
of the same sweat shop in  China.

It is also possible there are some other desk mics with the extra 
buttons, but without the extra stuff found in the 299, like EQ,  and so on.


I have no experience with any of the above.
