John, thanks, Steve helped me out and we got it working (thanks again Steve). As you said it was the offset. Now that I know the sequence of beeps for the offset it makes much more sense now.

With Norwood I'm not surprised. Same here, on the other one, being UHF, I
don't think that radio's auto offset works on UHF if I recall. You may have
to set the offset.
