In Windows 7:
Press the windows key to bring up the search and type in "programs and features", hit ENTER.
When the list of installed programs comes up arrow down until you find the google tool bar.
Press the applications key (or SHITF-F10) to bring up the context menu and select "uninstall"
Follow the prompts and reboot afterwards.

Dave and all:
I just did a call sign lookup on qrz.com using my work laptop here out at the RV, and had absolutely no problem. Internet Explorer workss just fine, although it is IE 9 on this computer, instead of IE 11 on the home computer.
So, it is now clear to me that the problem is with the google custom tool bar that has found its way onto my home windows 7 PC.
If anyone can tell me how to get rid of that thing, I'd appreciate it.

Hi Tom!
I'd get rid of the google toolbar.

All:
Regarding my QRZ.com issue, Ron's suggestion about using the E key to get into the edit field worked, using Firefox. I never had to do that before, but it is at least a workaround for now.
The E key did not get me into the edit field on qrz.com in Internet Explorer, though, because of that stubborn google tool bar.
At least I'm making some progress now. And, it's clear that the problem is on my end.
Thanks everyone for your patience.

Hi Tom,
Once I logged in, I didn't have any problem. Move to the edit field with the hot key (e) type in your query, and press enter. After a few seconds, press escape or (insert + space bar NVDA) to exit forms mode if it doesn't automatically, then move past the list of 9 items and the graphics and you should see the information. In fact, the line just above the results has the word donate in it, so you could probably do a screen reader find on donate and then just arrow down a few lines for the information. The on mouse over/clickable link for the e-mail does work by routing mouse to application cursor and clicking in both JAWS and NVDA. I didn't try it in Window-Eyes--because I'm still learning that beast after downloading the office for Window- Eyes package. HTH.
