Hi Phil!

When I got on the remote base a couple nights ago, I heard these two loud
signals. Since the readout said something like 3.724, and remembering my
vantage point is northern Minnesota, I thought to myself, boy those must be
canooks with those big slop buckets. Trouble was, being SSB, I was also
hearing their accents, which *definitely *were *not canook! QRN was heavy,
but accents weren't out of place. They were two good sourthern boys, all
right. Then I thought, OK, I'm the one that must be out of place. The
experience suggested a review of the bands is in order for me, so I
downloaded the frequency chart from the Handi ham site, and see those
buckets have indeed climbed down. I always knew no code wasn't a good idea.
I reckon the proof is there.

I don't have as much history behind me as you do, but despite being able to
locate QTR and QRG of a net via Google, well, what a price we've had to
pay...
