Basically, all new equipment nowadays is menu or touch screen driven; making
it totally inaccessible. However, I agree with earlier advice that
equipment with "Web Control" functionality solves this problem wonderfully.

A couple of years ago, my 25 year old Yamaha crapped out. I got a Marantz
AV7005 (pre amp) and a Marantz AV7055 (amp). These are high end audiophile
systems with endless functionality. Nicely, because of Web Control, this
brand new, high end and audiophile quality system is totally accessible.

HTH,
Richard

Since most of you are quite knowledgeable in things, I would like a little
advice.
My stereo amp has develloped statick in one of the channels, it is about
20 years old. In looking most of the equipment is menu driven and it
doesn't seem to accessable.
What recommendations might you have for an amp that has 100 wats of power or
so. I have 4 speakers, right and left front and back?
You can write me off list if you want.
Thanks.
Mike
