Tom, I did what Harvey suggested and this time it worked; that is, I
shut down all of my open programs and then, shut down the computer. I
re-booted the computer again, and didn't open any other programs, except
Outlook. Much to my surprise, the auto complete worked. What really puzzles
me is that I tried that before and it didn't work. I have noticed that some
of these programs I run seem to conflict with others. For example, sometimes
when I close and shut down a MS Word program, I lose the ability to go to
any of my other open windows and programs. I have no idea what the problem
is, but I know something is conflicting with something else. I'm not sure,
but it seems like it is associated with when I have Outlook open, and then,
open a MS Word file and then, open NotePad. Then, when I close NotePad and
close the MS Word file and program, I cannot get to any of my other open
Windows or programs.

Weird!

Ron, K8HSY

That strategy hasn't worked for me, at least so far, but as they say, your
milage may vary!

Sometimes it corrects the problem to get out of Outlook and restart it, or
maybe restart your computer. I don't know if that will work or not, but it
might.

Ron:

It's very interesting that you bring this up. ... I'm experiencing the exact
same problem here, and don't know how to fix it either.

It started happening to me earlier this week.

So far, I haven't been prevented from doing any necessary e-mails, but the
problem is annoying to say the least.
