Icom is even officially backing off on DStar, I don't think Kenwood would 
waste money on that project. Kenwood is producing more of Icom's IDAS/NXDN 
equipment and putting their name on them and the running joke is that 
they're Iwood radios. Even Icom though is backing down to just one or 2 
DStar models which they'll keep making unchanged for a while but even 
they're not producing anything new for DStar and how long they'll hang on to 
it remains to be seen. This from an Icom rep friend of mine.
