Ron,
So how are you keying the rig? It would seem that your ptt is working,
but if using a microphone, are you sure the mic is good?
If in CW mode and using the front panel "send" buttonthe and
anything is plugged into either of the rear key jacks, it will go into
transmit (RX mutes), but no power is transmitted.
Before packing it up I would disconnect everything from the radio except
the 12 vdc and the coax to the dummy load. No key, keyer, microphone,
computer, or anything else connected. Put it in FSK (RTTY mode) and
press the front panel "send" button.
If you have any doubts about the power supply, reduce power to 10 watts
or so and see if anything comes out the coax .
Since you can hear stuff, I'll assume you are on the right antenna
port. Port 1 has a single bump and port 2 has 2 bumps next to it.
Since you did a reset, I'll also assume that you didn't get into split
mode by accident and have the TX VFO out of band, where it won't TX.
You're not sending it anywhere on Sunday, so you have another day of
head scratching.
Good luck, Steve KW3A
