Mike and all:
Unfortunately, I will not make the NAQP CW contest this time around.
As I think some of you may know, my XYL and I are on the east coast right
now. We came here to visit with my parents in an elder-care facility in
Pennsylvania, and to visit with my XYL's mother in her elder-care facility
in New Jersey. Unfortunately, My XYL's mother took a very sudden turn for
the worst early last week, and passed away early this morning at the age of
93. So, we are still here on the east coast, and will be here for at least
the next few days.
I hope everyone has fun in the contest, and I'll try to make it for the NAQP
SSB contest two weeks from now.
For anyone not familiar with the NAQP contests, they are a great way to get
your feet wet in contesting. In fact, the NAQP, Field Day, and the
Pennsylvania and Michigan QSO Parties are what got me started, and they
remain some of my favorite contests to this day.
Have fun, all!

The CW round of the North American QSO Party begins at 18:00:00 UTC this
afternoon, and ends at 06:00:00 UTC tomorrow morning.
I often run into several from this list during this event.
If you want to give it a shot, the exchange is your name and state.
If you are not up to trying it on CW, the SSB run will be 2 weeks from
today, on August 15, during the same time frame.
