OK thanks, too bad there isn't a scanner that can be controlled by a software app or web interface. That is one area that some consumer electronics (think stereo receivers) are well ahead in.

Pretty tough to find Frank.  I am also looking.  I am told that the GRE600, no longer manufactured but available used is reasonably but not totally accessible.  And apparently the newer units less so.
