Hi Dave,
Find user guides for the UV5R at miclor.com  There are several speaker mikes on Amazon, in all different price ranges but some seem to come easily disconnected to from the handheld.  It is like they didn’t make the female connectors tight enough.  All it may require is to have someone who can open up the radio and giving the  connector a little tweaking.  The only alternative would be to take some strong rubber bands around the connector.  73.  Gary KB2YAA
