Hi Ron, to test this out I am posting this to the list using Outlook 2013 on a Windows 8.1 laptop. I have sent this email using plain text. For some reason I thought I had tried plain text in the past with no luck but lets see what happens.
Thanks for the heads up.
Frank

                 Hi Sina,

We are all well aware of the server issue. The Icors.org server has certain default settings that can be changed by each individual list owner. For what ever reason, this list owner refuses to make the changes. Hence, the only way to get the problem solved is on the individual client's end. On Windows systems using such programs as Outlook Express (old) Outlook, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, Udora and so on, changing the outgoing mail for this individual list from rich/HTML to plain text solves the problem. Phil is using a Mac and whatever program he is using has apparently hidden the setting to do this somewhere inaccessible to Phil. Maybe, as a new user who seems to be computer/coding savvy, you can help him to make this change.

What's happening here is a simple encoding problem. the ascii codes for the various symbols, such as apostrophe, are simply being put in. Google's smtp servers used to do this a while back, but not always, just for the ':' character.
