Hi Rick!

Just wanted to offer some moral support. Have no direct experience with that
little beast, but remember it as a fine performer. Just read a nice review
on eham that made references to a recommended startup procedure you should
probably follow, but the reference is unfamiliar to me, since I'm not an
engineer.

The review by N8MUS might be a good starting point in order to get pointers.
Good to see my memory hadn't deserted me because I was reasonably sure I'd
remembered the finals would be a pair of 3-500Z bottles.

Once you have it going, if you can't do it with that, then you probably
don't need to do it, hi hi.

Best of luck to you.

73,
Dave

Subject: How to clean SB-220.

I don't know if this is going to the list, but here goes.

I have a Heathkit SB-220 that sat unplugged for over two years.

Before i start using it again i want to open it up and clean out the dust
and what ever.
Is this something i can do myself, or will i need sighted help?

If i can do it myself, what is the best way to go about doing it?

Thanks in advance for any help, and 7 3.
