I would not recommend that radio at aall. I have one I won at a ham
fest and it is almostall menu driven. If youg go into a manu and don't
make the selection in a couple seconds, say you pause to look at your
cheat sheet, it drops out of menus. Absolutely not a blind friendly
radio at all. I've done a littlee programming with a computer, but that
is about it. Also, keep in mind it does not have a built in tuner as
the kenwoods such as 440, 450, 690, 480, and others do. Again, the q s
y e r would help, but you can't access memories with it as you can on
other rigs, the way Yaesu did the programming.
What are you looking for, how much do you have to spend? With solid
state rigs, I think you certainly want either internal or external
tuner.
