Pat,
I actually remember years ago that you had a test, a colonoscopy, I believe. You told us that you were having to drink a lot of a special liquid to cleanse the area. I don’t know how things were back then, if they could not put you out or you had to stay awake. I had one done over a year ago. Yes, I was a bit nervous, but the worst of it is the insertion of the IV line, and the nurse was quite gentle so it didn’t hurt much. I was out of it enough that I could hardly tell what was going on, except I was waiting and waiting, moving my legs as I’m not comfortable laying on that side. I think I was a little aware of the doctor working between them when I thought I had a moment when I was able to keep still with my legs straightened. then the next thing I knew, a nurse said, “You’re in recovery.”
Another thing that has been developing is a capsule that you simply swallow that has a camera. After it’s finished, it eventually comes out of your system in the bathroom. So, if you need to go through this procedure, any procedure, please try to remember that you can ask The Lord to help you do it in His strength, and not your own. That’s something I still struggle with, and I take some comfort in knowing this. I know that anxiety disorders tend to get in the way and makes it hard to give it all to Him and leave it there.
May The Lord give you His perfect peace in the storm of circumstances. Amen.

> Hi Everyone, I'm asking for prayer, please. I've been bleeding, and we think it is hemroides. It's bright red. I don't really want to have a Colonoscopy because I'm totally scared of the prep, I'm scared of the procedure, and I'm scared of what they might find. We live 100 miles from Sioux Falls, and what will happen if I do the prep here at home, and will I be okay to go to Sioux Falls the next day for the procedure without having serious problems from the prep? I can't afford for us to stay in a hotel, and can you imagine doing the prep in a otel, not me! I'm really scared, and I don't know what to do. I would just as soon do the prep at a hospital, the same hospital they will do the procedure. What would you all do in my shoes! Thanks so much for praying. You are all loving! Vernon is doing great after his last radiation treatment. I'm praying for no side affects for him.
