Jim,

You can't adjust the speed of the VGS3, and there's really only one voice 
despite Kenwood's "Voice1" and "Voice2", which are actually different 
functions of the same chip.  "Voice1" reads out frequency and speaks menu 
numbers, and "Voice2" speaks the S-meter reading.
