Hi John!

The speech toggle command is a layered command comprised of two strokes.
JawsKey space then s.

There should be no need to reload Jaws if all you did was toggle speech off,
hi hi.

I need to use this a lot especially when working in 64 bit environments when
a braille display is fortunately present.

Dave

John:

I don't know if this will help, but try the following.

Hit the windows key followed by rjaws15.

If that gets you up and going again, I'd suggest that you set up the usual
alt control J Jaws shortcut for starting jaws if you somehow accidentally
exit out of it again sometime later on.

Let me know if this works.

The other thing you could try is a hard shut-down of the computer by holding
in the on-off button. Then, you could re-start your computer normally, and
hopefully, Jaws would come back to life. However, I would only take that
step as a very last resort.
