The replacement phone arrived on Saturday, and it is up and running, but not
everything has been recovered yet. Because the original phone wouldn't do
anything, I wasn't able to copy everything over to the new one. It is
better than nothing I guess.

What's a hundred bucks, to you, Alan? Hi, hi! =20

As long as you use the same AppleId, all your previous purchases are =
available. =20

My phone was precisely 2 weeks old. What worries me is the hassle I am
facing having to set this new unit up from scratch. What happens with =
my
$100 purchase of the KNFB Reader? Will I have to buy another copy? I =
would
not be a happy camper if the answer to that question is yes.

you would not believe how many times I've heard that story with the 6+, =
and=20
almost as many with the 6.

Something is wrong with apple because they've never had quality control=20
issues like this in the past...like I say, I've probably heard at least =
10=20
stories just like this one where phones had to be replaced within the =
first=20
week of use...and that's just in my relatively small circle of friends.
Nope, not apple bashing I still like mine, but man have they fallen off =
the=20
wagon as far as quality control goes.

Well, I thought that all was well when Siri came back to work. The next
thing that happened was that the screen went completely blank. In =
addition
to the screen failure, the finger print reader quit working. Off to the
Verizon store I go with my non-functioning phone. I was in the store =
for 2
hours while the personnel attempted to bring my phone back to life. The
bottom line is that they have to replace my phone with a new one. Since =
I
made the mistake of buying the phone from Verizon thru their 800 number,
they have to ship me a replacement, instead of the store being able to
replace it on the spot. I will get the new phone by next Tuesday. Good
thing that I don't really need it, Hi.
