Thanks, Bob.

This makes perfect sense.

We have two stations and we are running emergency power on existing
antennas.

Greetings All,
The Iowa Blind Amateur Radio Club, will be doing a simplified field day this
weekend. You may find KD0WQO on any band from 80 through 6. We will be
operating 2E and of course the IA section.

73,

Bob KD0BR

Mike:

Will definitely look for you this week-end.

Assuming I get my antenna up out at the RV camp site, I'll be doing field
day from that location.

Like you, I plan to do a mainly CW operation, but will probably do some
phone for the sake of variety as well.

Since I'll be doing my own Field Day operation, I'll be using my call, and
will be 1 A. I plan to do most of my operating on 40 and 20, but will try
other bands too if possible.

I'm not sure if my local club here will be doing a significant Field Day
operation at all this year. Things just never came together, due to a lack
of volunteers to step up and do the coordinating. It's a shame, given the
kind of Field Day operations we used to have when my XYL, I, and a few
others did all the coordinating for quite a few years. Anyway, if you hear
my local club on the air, please work them too. They will use the call
N8OE.

Four clubs from my area of Mississippi are combining their resources for a
3A Field Day operation. The location will be a city park in Pelahatchie, MS,
pronounced pee la hatchie, which is about 30 miles east of Jackson.

We will be operating under the special event call W5W.

If you encounter that call on CW during the day or early evening, the
operator will very likely be me. I will also take a turn or two at the SSB
station, but my primary enjoyment at Field Day is CW.

We plan to operate all of the Field Day bands from 80 through 2 meters.

I hope to contact many list members during the event.
