Well, Tom. I started learning to use the iPad my wife gave me 3 months ago.
The two different Braille Plus units I have on loan from Maryland Rehap are
starting to develop problems now. Parts including batteries are not
available and APH no longer provides repair. One of them was repaired by an
amateur radio friend and I was given a replacement battery by another
person. The new replacement unit with added features costs about twice the
older ones.
My friend who works for rehab has been gently urging me to have a go with
the iPad so I am but remembering those gestures is a bit more difficult at
my ripe old age of 81. The Web site www.voiceover-easy.net is a great
resource now even if you find a Braille book or two.
