Steve:

You'll get much more comfortable with CW contesting with time, I'm sure.

I feel I am getting better as time goes on, but still have a long way to go
to catch up with someone like Lloyd, Terry, and David.

But, this gives us goals to strive for, which is not a bad thing either.

Regarding the RV antenna situation, I had a conversation with the camp
ground owner who has the bucket truck this morning, and he has promised me
that he and his son will help get the job done, hopefully early next week.

I'll keep you and everyone posted.

And, yes, in addition to field day, there are the NAQP contests later in
the summer.

Tom,

Well it was fine for what it was, but I have a long way to go. If Lloyd had
run power and had a full weekend, he would have done well over
1,000 QSO's. Some of our CW friends from across the pond like David
and Terry could have outdone my total in just a couple of hours.

I have made some progress in the past year and a half since I decided to
stop looking at CW as a necessary evil and try and enjoy it. With a
little progress each year, I'm on my way to being a world class CW contest
op in about 2036.

Hope you can get the antenna up. Beside FD, there is also NAQP SSB
and CW this summer.

73, Steve KW3A
