Hi Jan! I too, love the U2 Mini, and still have one. I also got the Polaris and was disappointed. I'm very happy with the new BrailleSense 6, and I have heard they will come out with a smaller version of this in the spring. Hope this is helpful. Andrea

Subject: [VICUG-L] Question about braille notetakers.
I'm interested in comparison of braille notetakers available. Are there any
that resemble the U2 Mini, or the old Braillelite? I know the Polaris Mini
is I believe the new version of U2 Mini, but in my view it is inferior to
the U2 Mini.
Is there any that just has a braille keyboard and no touch screen besides
the Polaris Mini? My friend is looking, and because I am unhappy with my
Polaris because I didn't do enough research for myself, I'd like to assist
in her search if possible, so she can make a good choice.
Any recommendations or resources for comparison and descriptions would be
very appreciated.
I'm hopeful you all may be able to assist, but if not, thanks for reading
this, all the same.
Happy holidays to all.
Jan Santos
