This is a minor update regarding a previous inquiry where I talked about
the arrow keys providing somewhat slow responsiveness in Word 2013.
Someone suggested that I run Word in safe mode. The easiest way to do
this from the keyboard is to go into the run dialog and type
winword /safe
followed by the enter key. When Word was running in safe mode, the
sluggish responsiveness I was experiencing while moving the cursor was
just about gone. There was just a bit of it but I suspect this could
disappear if I add more RAM.
This is actually an encouraging sign, as I can now take a look at any
running addins to see if they might be causing the problem. My initial
perusal of the running addins hardly shows anything at all and I'm not
sure I really understand what's in this dialog but at least I now have
something to work with.
