Yes, but I remember doing that, and other things I read became funny.
It's a trade off, like most things in life are.
I can't remember why I didn't like it. As I think of it, I think I changed
it back in vocal-eyes. Maybe its time to try it again?

In Window-eyes and probably in other screenreaders, you can set an option
that spells any word that is a mixture of of letters and digits. The option
in Window-Eyes is under Screen and Other and is called spell alpha numeric.
