Matt,

Changed the subject line on this one.

There is no specific RTTY TX key on the 480. You would press the
mode key until you cycle through the modes until you hear "R" for RTTY.

Your regular ptt would put you in transmit. With tx monitor on, you
will hear a constant tone, like a cw carrier. If you ground pin 8 of
the remote jack, the RTTY diddle tones will start.

In the real world, your software and FSK keying interface would take
care of ptt and grounding pin 8.

The fact that your AFSK RTTY tones were going out on the pc's audio,
tells me you probably don't have the correct sound card set for TX in
MMTTY. Do you have "sound" selected under the "misc" tab in MMTTY setup?

When I was a kid, I dabbled in stamp collecting, but didn't like licking
all those stamps. Someone suggested I try a sponge. i tried it, but
still couldn't get the glue off my tongue.
