But what we really need is a stand-alone scanner that you can
program in the field without a damned computer interface. I have
had some contact with Whistler about just that thing, but it's
slow progress. Perhaps if those of you to also desire an
accessible scanner would also contact them they might get the
hint that more than one person out here would like an accessible
scanner. I am using a PSR-500 and BC 245 neither of which are

Pretty tough to find Frank. I am also looking. I am told that
the GRE600,=
no longer manufactured but available used is reasonably but not
totally ac=
cessible. And apparently the newer units less so.
