Wouldn't recommend Android depending on the device you are looking at.
While I really like Android over iOS, the 5.02 update on my S5 broke some
things that are annoying to say the least, and I have not gotten the 5.1
update yet. First, Eloquence by Code Factory does not work as of the 5.02
update on the S5, and as far as I know, they have not fixed it even though
they say it works with Lollipop. Second thing is that the dial pad tones
will continuously make a tone after each number is pressed, so you have to
turn the sound for it off. There are other issues as well that I am just
not thinking of at the moment. I have gone back to an iPhone for the time
being and will re-evaluate in a year when I can upgrade again. I can note
that I used the very first Android device back in 2009 for a year, and there
have been many accessibility improvements, but each time I have found that I
go back to the iPhone for its ease of use and everything I do is accessible.

It looks like I am about to be dragged kicking, screaming, and throwing
rocks, into the nervous breakdown commonly marketed as a smart phone.
I am leaning toward Android partly because my wife has one, although she
does not need the TalkBack features, and partly because when I have played
around with a borrowed iPod, I can't consistently make it do the same thing
two times in a row.
