I had one for a short time and it really wasn't all that easy to use. It was 
better hooked up to the computer but I hate needing the computer and radio 
attached for controlling the radio. Other wise though it was really not an 
easy radio and I ended up selling it because I just could not get 
comfortable with it. Maybe if I used it daily I could get a little better 
with it but I'm not even sure about that. I liked having a small station I 
could put in a small pack like I had with that but I really don't miss the 
radio itself. I found my IC-706MKIIG much easier to use and if I cant to run 
off a battery with low power I can always turn the power down.
