I am using a Pro 97, Pro 164, neither made anymore, and a Pro 106. Whistler
makes the Pro 651, which is the same as the Pro 106.

But what we really need is a stand-alone scanner that you can program in the
field without a damned computer interface. I have had some contact with
Whistler about just that thing, but it's slow progress. Perhaps if those of
you to also desire an accessible scanner would also contact them they might
get the hint that more than one person out here would like an accessible
scanner. I am using a PSR-500 and BC 245 neither of which are made any
longer. Jim WA6EKS

OK thanks, too bad there isn't a scanner that can be controlled by a softwa=
re app or web interface. That is one area that some consumer electronics
(t= hink stereo receivers) are well ahead in.

Pretty tough to find Frank. I am also looking. I am told that the GRE600,=
no longer manufactured but available used is reasonably but not totally ac=
cessible. And apparently the newer units less so.
