Hi all. I just got one of these rigs, and as far as I can tell there is
no "band" button on the front pannel, all else seems similar to the
description which Buddy and many others did on the
Baofeng UV-5R Accessibility Review on the Active Elements web page.
I just need to make sure that is the case, since I sure cannot see to
use the rig with the display. :)
I have a computer interface which I used with my Wuxon rig which is now,
intermittent, so that's why I bought the Baofeng UV-5R v2 plus from my
friend here with the 3800 milliamp battery for $40.
I do have another question: while you're in "channel mode," if you
change menu 11 or 13 for either rx or tx CTCSS tones, do they go into
effect immediately?

thanks!
THANKS!
