I think that the stations outside of US, Canada and Mexico give signal
report and a serial QSO number.
At the moment, activity seems to be ground wave only. Sporadic-E could occur
at just about any time to any place within 1300 miles, and ten should open
up somewhat tomorrow. Check the band early and often, but don't expect as
much propagation as we have had in the last few years, in my opinion.

If you have never participated in a contest, the 10 meter contest is a
good one to try.
The exchange is signal report and state or province, or CW and power if
you are a DX station.
The contest runs from 7 PM eastern time tonight until 6:59 PM eastern
time on Sunday evening.
Don't be bashful; jump in there and try it on either CW or SSB.
Look for me on CW if the band opens to Mississippi from your qth.
