Hello Lowell and all,
Many thanks for your replies.
Sounds like a good choice then, even though if the radio is not the newest one.
I read somewhere that Kenwood has firmware updates for the radio, is this something that we can install and if so, do they make any enhancements when it comes to accessibility?
Will have a look at the users guide before I get it. I have seen the radio at our local radio club here, but it was not connected. But I like the feeling of it.
Since there is no DTMF microphone included, can the keypad on the front of the radio be used for entering DTMF in real time?
I have two options at the moment when it comes to purchasing it:
1. I can get a quite good deal on a second hand one, but with no speech synthesizer or power supply, but I am not sure how the condition is of the radio. Still waiting for a reply.
2. I can get a new one with power supply and the speech synthesizer installed at no extra cost, but then its much more expencive.
I think I will be going for the second option, but will see what the seller has to offer me first.
Many thanks,
Christian SM0UWV
