Yes,  I can.

A combobox is like a dropdown list except it also has an editing =
capability.  Therefore, if something isn't listed, you could type it in.

A dropdown list, does not have this editing capability.  But, just like = a
combobox, you can select only one item.

A listbox, on the other hand, allows the user to select one or more = items
simultaneously.

I think combo boxes are called drop-down boxes in the real world, so far =

All I know is that when I mention the "combo box" term to my sighted =3D =
XYL, and even some I T people at my University, they don't have a clue what
= =3D I'm talking about until I show them an example.

As for the arrogant term, I don't know if that is the best term to refer =
=3D to Freedom Scientific in this regard;  but, I think they are at least =
=3D socially ignorant of the implications of some of the things they do.

It's  kind of like Humanware sending pictures of damage to a Victor =3D =
Stream that one of our list members reported on several weeks ago.

So much of this sort of communication difficulty can be resolved with a =
=3D bit of forethought and collaboration.

But, of course, this is what college profs like me try to promote--often
less successfully than we would like.

One of the many things that I hate about Jaws.
There is no "jaws key" on the keyboard.
I think the world calls it the "insert key".
Naming a key something else just creates a communications barrier =3D =
between jaws users and the rest of the world.
Its like the problem with the aplications key, context menu, and right
click.
All terms for the same function.
Communicating is difficult enough with out adding separate words for the
same thing.

I don't know if this will help, but try the following.

Hit the windows key followed by  rjaws15.

If that gets you up and going again, I'd suggest that you set up the =3D =
usual alt control J Jaws shortcut for starting jaws if you somehow =3D =
accidentally exit out of it again sometime later on.

Let me know if this works.

The other thing you could try is a hard shut-down of the computer by =3D
holding in  the on-off button.  Then, you could re-start your computer
normally, =3D and
hopefully, Jaws would come back to life.   However,  I would only take =
=3D
that
step as a very last resort.
