Congratulations, Matt, on working your first d x contact as a General. May
you work many, many more and enjoy every minute of it. Yes, ham radio is
fun! 73. Doug, N6NFF

Matt, congrats on making your first DX Q. Now that you have caught the bug,
keep at it big time. If you are able to work on 40M, don't forget that
there is a ton of DX to be worked on that band. Late evenings thru early
morning is when DX is prevalent on 40M.

Subject: First DX Contact Since getting my General Ticket!
Hi, Folks. Great news! I got my first DX contact since getting my
general ticket. Spoke with OK2RZ, Jiri in the Czech Republic at
5:05PM today on 14.26701Mhz. He was running a gallon, and I only
had 100 watts. Quite a kick. Who says ham radio isn't fun, hi.--Matt,
N1IBB.
