Butch, I thought you had a 990.  Now that's a great radio.
The 2000 is a great radio, especially with its versatility.
The truth is, any radio you own and enjoy makes it a great radio.
Same works for pets.

the best thing ever made.  I have no doubt they are good radios, but
expensive.  Add up all of your options to have what you have with the
2000 and it gets expensive very fast.  I have a 2000 and think it is agreat
radio.
