Hi all!
I used to find it informative listening to Avaiation weather. Forget the
frequency because of course I wasn't a ham that early, and there wasn't a
dial that was accessible then even if I had any air rights.
Can someone tell me where Aviation weather forecasts or observations can be
found in audio? I know about things like Wunderground or Jaws research it,
but I want to be able to hear it like I used to monitor, or is that now just
a historic memory?
Yesterday, while monitoring WWV, I heard something that sounded like weather
information between the static crashes, but although the time announcements
were well above the static, there was consistent QSB on this weather info
that mentioned no cities, but broadcast conditions in marine terms. Is that
on a regular schedule, and is there some reason as to why that weather info
wasn't as strong as the time? Was it on a separate carrier, but just timed
strategically so that it wouldn't interrupt the time annohncements or tones?
At least, WWV was generous because they kept their tone quiet to accommodate
that weather info.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave
