That's my problem too, Harvey.
I simply don't know enough about what to keep, and what to eliminate.
My randomly-appearing media clip probblem seems to have been solved via
malware bytes, but I'm still having other issues, as I think I described
last night.
At least I have the work laptop to use while I sort everything out.

But the thing is that while I'd love to disable all those search bars and
such as well as programs I don't use, it's hard to know what is needed by
the computer to do what it does. What is meaningless to us might be very
significant to your computer, and if you turn it off or uninstall it, you
might be in even more trouble.

Thanks Harvey, I like being on the right track.
Ie tools add ons and extentions, and disable everything you don't need.
