Hello,

I have used Windows, Mac and Ubuntu with all of them locking up at some point. Windows does lock up the most but, it does more of the mainstream stuff that us as blind users need. I am an assistive technology specialist and recommend a computer for the persons needs. I will not say that there is one that is better for everyone so, it depends on your needs. I had a Mac after my Windows computer got Water spilled on it but, switched back to windows because I was unable to do things that I needed to do. I know this is not a definitive answer for you. I am not sure that anyone can give you a, "yes, this one is the best. "
