Sounds like very poor design. A while back, I bought a case they made for 
the iPhone, and found it to be poorly constructed and unusable because holes 
didn't line up with jacks.

The case does fit very tightly, so perhaps a little massaging will do the
trick.

The other thing I don't like about the case is that you can't close it and
charge the unit at the same time, because there is no hole in the top cover
to accommodate the plug to the charger.

Oh well, life isn't perfect, I guess.  (smile)

I'm able to do it. I didn't modify the hole. Perhaps masaage it a little,
and it will play nice.
