OK, not exactly a walk in the park, but you could pretty easily just
submit your map query to google in the URL, then click on walking, then
details. I should probably figure out how to add the walking and details
part into the URL. If you were so inclined, you could also set up a
FireFox shortcut which would construct the URL for you, even including
your starting location as a fixed address.
Anyway, here is an example:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/5552+Beacon+St,+Pittsburgh,+PA+15217/311+S+Craig+St,+Pittsburgh,+PA+15213/
This will get you from my house to where I worked. If you don't live in
my house, or didn't replace me at work, then try your own addresses.
