Hi, Alan. I don't normally post much on the list, but I have
lots of iphone lovers as friends everywhere, and some double as
hams for a living. Well, a hobby, you know. One of my ham
friends, who is an avid gamer and tech nerd extraordinaire,
Jessie, call sign almost completely forgotte, says to me that the
iphone 6 and 6 plus have about the same processor but the
difference is the screen size. That's all. The Plus unit is
just a size up and looks like a little iPad mini but it's a phone
there too. I'm out of iPhone world for now because it's too
expensive to go there, but I wish I could.
FYI: I'm closer to thinking about getting a ham license. I want
to learn about what I can do to get started in ham land
especially if I have to live in one of those stupid apartment
complexes where I can't really have a "ham shack." Lots of that
happens, but some of my friends are lucky to have places where
antennas can be done up and stuff. But, I'm closer to being able
to write 73 and not feel weird about it. :)
Anyhow, guys, it's a pleasure reading some of the good stuff on
the list, and for those of you who are iPhone lovers, android
lovers, whatever, I'm sure you guys can fit EchoLinks on there.
Jessie does. :)
Thanks,
Beth

Subject: Processor in the I-Phone 6 and 6 +

Good morning all, I have been somewhat out of pocket for several
weeks while
having all of my teeth extracted. Needless to say, the process
was not
without pain, HiHi. They are thankfully all out now, so
hopefully I won't
be in as much pain, or at least until the bone grafts are done.

I wonder if anyone on the list can tell me if the micro processor
in the
i-Phone 6 and 6+ are the same. Several friends have told me that
their 6+
phones are faster than their 6 units. Based on these comments,
as well as
several other reasons, I just purchased a 64 gig 6+. I am
anxious to get
the phone, along with the Kurzweil Reader to see how they play.

Thanks in advance for any comments.
