Yes easy if you aren't afraid of mechanical stuff, small screws
and feeling around a radio that's unhooked from everything.
There's a good description of how to do it in an audio manual
from Active Elements I think it is. Jim WA6Eks

Subject: Installing the BGS1 in the TS590:

Hi listers.

Never thought I would need this so never paid attention.

Is it easy for a blind guy to install the vgs1 in the 590?

If the radio is turned off are there still some risks in doing
this?

Thanks.

Awaiting my new ts590.

Had to get the radio from one hro store and the speech board from
another.

Don
