Tabitha, my home caregiver,  and I were discussing eye research and how I might need to go out-of-state for an extended time.  But then I mentioned the brainport.  That's a device that sees what is ahead of it, and it translates the image, even moving objects, onto your tongue so that you "see" the patterns!  It had been a little while since I read info on it.  Now, I found out that you can actually buy it, or just try it!  I filled out the introductory questionaire, and I should get a response.  I sure hope it works out!  I would certainly like to buy it, but I'm sure it's expensive like any other equipment, except maybe the commission would pay if I study and get a job...
