I have some acquaintances on the net. A husband and wife. The wife I've
known for a few years now and the husband a couple years, but more sporadic
are my contacts with him. They live in Alaska having returned there a
couple years ago. Her kids are there and he has no family there, he feels
trapped there, is having difficulty finding decent work, finances are a
real problem for them as they are not making bills, he is in depression,
has diabetes, and is talking of dying. She is very down herself now and
normally a very upbeat person and has thoughts of cashing in the marriage.
I've heard this from another net friend I've known since 1996. These are
good folks but things are beating them down. I've sent a note to him
regarding some web stuff we'd been talking about which I am considering if
I venture into another venture, and tagged on a "how ya doing" message and
a question regarding a Bible he sent someone a while back and if he heard
they got it. I sent the same back up message to his wife under the guise I
had his right email address after he recently changed it, I believe I do
but needed a reason to send a "how ya doing" message to her as well, and
asked her something Christian related as well. I really feel for these
people. I would have sent more encouragement but I hadn't talked to them
directly and, well these things need be in proper order to be respected
from both sides. Please pray for protection for him, and strength for the
both and that they see God in their lives. They have been married 4 years
or close to, and there is somewhat of an age difference between them. I am
going to let both of them know of Church because I know yawl are so
supportive. Neither are blind, but he does have some visual impairments
corrected by strong glasses though. I'd appreciate any prayer you can do on
their behalf.
