I'm running winamp 2.95 as I like it better, so this may be different. 
I'm also running window-eyes.  To get to preferences, hold down the alt 
kay and hit lettter f. The alt key by itself doesn't bring down pull down 
menus as most programs do.  alt f should give you a menu and you want to 
pick options.  Once you hit enter on options, one of the things you will 
see on that screen is file types, one is select all which I don't use. 
You can check and uncheck what you want associated.
